Brian Yuliarto

Prof. Brian Yuliarto is a leading figure in nanotechnology and renewable energy research. He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology at ITB, where he also leads the nanotechnology and quantum technology. His research primarily focuses on developing advanced functional materials for energy storage and conversion, including solar cells, supercapacitors, and sensors.
With over 320 publications in high-impact journals, an h-index of 38, and more than 5000 citations, Prof. Yuliarto has significantly contributed to his field. His work has earned him a spot among the top 2% of scientists worldwide and recognition as Indonesia's top researcher in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
He has mentored over 50 students from various countries, contributing to the global scientific community. His alumni now work in leading industries, research institutions, and universities worldwide. He also serves as the ITB International Project Co-Lead for several programs focusing on energy systems integration and modular solar technologies.
Prof. Yuliarto's notable achievements include being a Visiting Professor at the University of Tsukuba and collaborating with world-class researchers such as Prof. Omar Yaghi from UC Berkeley. His pioneering work has made significant strides in renewable energy and nanotechnology applications, ensuring his position as a key figure in Indonesia’s scientific landscape.
