Solar Cell

Riset perovskite solar cell (PSC) adalah penelitian yang fokus pada pengembangan dan peningkatan performa sel surya berbasis material perovskite, yang merupakan jenis material semikonduktor dengan struktur kristal khas dan efisiensi tinggi dalam mengubah cahaya matahari menjadi listrik.

Apa Itu Perovskite?

"Perovskite" mengacu pada struktur kristal dengan rumus umum ABX₃, di mana:

  • A = kation organik (misal: methylammonium (MA⁺), formamidinium (FA⁺)),

  • B = logam (misal: Pb²⁺, Sn²⁺),

  • X = anion halida (misal: I⁻, Br⁻, Cl⁻).


Tujuan Utama Riset PSC

  1. Meningkatkan efisiensi konversi energi (PCE).

  2. Meningkatkan stabilitas jangka panjang terhadap kelembaban, panas, dan cahaya.

  3. Mengurangi toksisitas (mengganti Pb dengan alternatif non-toksik).

  4. Menurunkan biaya produksi agar bersaing dengan silikon.


 Fokus Penelitian Perovskite Solar Cell

Fokus Penjelasan
Material Perovskite Modifikasi komposisi kimia untuk stabilitas dan efisiensi tinggi.
Lapisan Transport Elektron/Lubang (ETL/HTL) Mengoptimalkan interface agar transfer muatan lebih efisien.
Proses Fabrikasi One-step, two-step, spin coating, blade coating, dll.
Pasivasi Defek Mengurangi rekombinasi elektron-hole akibat cacat kristal.
Encapsulation Melindungi dari air dan oksigen agar lebih awet.

Water splitting

Berfokus pada pemecahan molekul air (H₂O) menjadi gas hidrogen (H₂) dan oksigen (O₂) menggunakan energi eksternal, biasanya dari cahaya matahari (fotokatalitik), listrik (elektrokatalitik), atau kombinasi keduanya.

Fotokatalitik Menggunakan cahaya matahari dan semikonduktor untuk mengurai air. TiO₂, perovskite
Elektrokatalitik Menggunakan arus listrik dan katalis (biasanya logam transisi) Elektroda Pt, NiFe

Fokus Penelitian

  1. Material Katalis: Harus murah, stabil, dan efisien (contoh: Fe₂O₃, MoS₂, perovskite).

  2. Efisiensi Konversi Energi: Berapa banyak energi cahaya/listrik yang dikonversi menjadi H₂.

  3. Stabilitas Jangka Panjang: Material tidak boleh rusak atau korosif dalam waktu singkat.

  4. Biaya Produksi: Menurunkan harga agar bisa diterapkan secara komersial.

Welcome to AFM Lab, a cutting-edge research group led by Prof. Brian Yuliarto, specializing in the development of advanced functional materials for applications in sensors, health diagnostics, and energy technologies.
